GIRL CRUSH / HAIM
Haim -- the Virgin Suicides-esque band of sisters -- is everything our dreams are made of. We’re in to their cool-LA girl vibe of 70s rock meets 90s grunge; their look and sound leaves a haunting gauze over our eyes and ears. The styling and choreography of their videos (case in point: the video for regrettable breakup-anthem “If I Could Change Your Mind”) inspires putting on our favorite cut offs and ex-boyfriend’s leather jackets and taking a dance around the bedroom and possibly down the street. Alana, Danielle and Este: come hang with us any time.

ARTIST / TRACEY EMIN
English artist Tracey Emin is our real woman inspiration: her work explores the myriad of emotions, physicalities, and politics of the female condition and it’s weird and wonderful dualities. Emin’s landmark piece - Everyone I’ve Ever Slept With - surrounded viewers with embroidered names of those the title suggests, offering a deeply personal connection in a very public way. We fell even more in love after her most recent exhibit - Cat Art Show - in LA where she joined some of our other favorite artists in fete-ing woman’s best friend as a muse and inspiration. #meow.

ON OUR MOST RECENT TRIP TO LONDON WE SAW SOME OF EGGELSTON'S MOST ICONIC COLOR PHOTOGRAPHY AT THE TATE MODERN.
